Wine To Water Expands Its Board With Strong Leadership

New members add a strategic focus to the mission of empowerment, health, and sustainability through clean water

Boone, NC, May 2, 2023 – The global nonprofit, Wine To Water (WTW) is pleased to

announce the addition of two respected business leaders to its Board of Directors. The

new board members are Meena Sankaran, founder and chief executive officer of

KETOS, and Mike Nestor, partner and vice chair of Young, Conaway, Stargatt & Taylor,

LLP.

“The Wine To Water board inspires me, our team, and the global community to continue

the fight for those in need,” said Doc Hendley, founder and president of WTW. “They

understand the urgency to accelerate our growth as a water organization and are huge

assets to our expansion.”

Nestor is an attorney based in Wilmington, Delaware focused on strategy and

restructuring of business organizations that range in size from large publicly held

companies to mid-market, closely held companies. Consistently recognized by The Best

Lawyers in America, The Deal, Delaware Super Lawyers, and Corporate Counsel as

one of the top bankruptcy lawyers in Delaware and the United States, Nestor has

authored dozens of articles and spoken on a variety of topics. One essay published by

the American Bar Association, called "Wine to Water: Connecting Your Firm to Your

Cause,” describes how Nestor participated in a WTW Filter Build at his firm, which

began his journey to understanding the negative impact of the lack of clean water on

communities. The opportunity drove him to Nepal where he volunteered with WTW and

experienced the joy of bringing clean water to a village.

Sankaran is a San Francisco-based executive with a passion for building teams,

products, and businesses. She founded KETOS, a vertically integrated IoT solution that

delivers water intelligence to the industry through patented hardware and an enterprise

grade software platform. She has also founded and led multiple nonprofits supporting

refugees, immigrants, women, and entrepreneurs. She brings a strong technical

acumen and a dynamic leadership style to WTW, where the board will continue to grow

its partnerships and strategic alliances, two areas Sankaran excels.

Sankaran and Nestor join a diverse and committed board comprised of the following

individuals:

  • Kristine Davis, founding partner Dionysus Group LLLP

  • Youssef B’Lal, vice president of information technology at Voya Financial

  • Monica Fisher, managing principal at SEI

  • Karen Fowler, co-founder and chief executive officer Pour Les Femmes,
